BHUBANESWAR: The proposed expansion of Rungta Mines Ltd with an investment of Rs 950 Crore in Odisha’s Dhenkanal , is expected to create 1200 jobs.Expansion of Rungta Mines Ltd’s Ferro Alloy Plant from 0.055 MTPA to 0.293 MTPA along with 3 MTPA Coal Washery and 150 MW CPP with an investment of Rs 950 Crore , which will create 1,200 jobs on Saturday got nod of 122nd SLSWCA, which was chaired by Odisha Chief Secretary PK Jena in presence of Development Commissioner Anu Garg, industry Secretary Hemant Sharma and other senior officials.
It may be noted here that in April this year , Rungta Steel, the leading TMT bars and integrated steel products manufacturer and the flagship company of Jharkhand’s Chaibasa Headquarters’ , Rungta Mines Limited, had announced the commissioning of its newly- established plant in Dhenkanal in Odisha. The state-of-the-art facility, spread across acres will process Rungta Mines’ flagship product- steel TMT bars.
Officials in Odisha Industry Department said, the steel sector has experienced significant growth due to investments from several companies, including Rungta Mines Limited, Nezone Steel Utkal LLP, Advance Steel Tubes Limited, Nirmal Steels Private Limited, Ferro Tech India Private Limited and Super Sonic Logistics Private Limited.
These companies have collectively invested over Rs 2,000 crore in Kalinganagar, Dhenkanal and Sundergarh regions. Nezone Steel Utkal LLP is now expanding its manufacturing capacity with the establishment of their second unit.
