Rs 72 Lakhs lying in 505 different Bank Accounts belongs to BJD Chief Whip Pramila Mallick’s late brother Khirod Mallick’s BISWA NGO frozen by Enforcement Directorate

BHUBANESWAR:  The Enforcement Directorate of Bhubaneswar has conducted search operations at 04 locations in Odisha and Delhi under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 on 18.12.2024 in connection with an investigation being carried out against Bharat Integrated Social Welfare Agency (BISWA) led by late Khirod Mallick, brother of BJD Chief Whip Pramila Mallick.

ED on Friday said, during the searches, various incriminating document, digital devices and shares worth Rs. 10 Lakh were recovered and seized, an amount of more than 72 Lakh lying in 505 different bank accounts has been frozen.

Days back, central agency had also carried out raids on the houses of Opposition BJD Chip Whip Pramilla Mallik’s brother late Khirod Mallik’s residence in New Delhi and three places in Sambalpur on Wednesday in connection with an alleged financial fraud amounting to Rs 231 crore. The raids were carried out for the second day on Thursday as well. Mallik’s NGO-Bharat Integrated Social Welfare Agency (BISWA), is under scrutiny for purportedly misusing a significant amount of funds.
