Rs 6 Crore, Group-A Job for Shuttler Pramod Bhagat

BHUBANESWAR: Shuttler Pramod Bhagat ,who had won a Gold medal in the Tokyo Paralympics 2020, will get Rs 6 crore and a Group-A post job on return.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will felicitate Pramod and handover the cheque and the appointment letter. Chief Minister Patnaik had earlier interacted with the Odisha Olympians and para-Olympian, who had qualified for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics on July 8, 2021 and wished them good luck.

The State has already handed over the cheques for Rs 2.5 crore to Odisha players in the Bronze medal winning Indian Hockey Team – Birendra Lakra and Amit Rohidas.

World No 1 para shuttler Pramod Bhagat  had clinched the gold medal after defeating Great Britain’s Daniel Bethell by 2-0 in the men’s singles SL3 — final match at the Tokyo Paralympics.He bagged the first gold medal for the country in badminton at the Tokyo Paralympics.
