BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday chaired the State Cabinet and approved revised funding for the NUA-O initiative under the scheme of the Integrated Youth Development Programme (IYDP). The programme budget has been revised to Rs 315 Cr to further empower the youth to realise their true potential.
The Odisha Government has recently introduced a pioneering youth empowerment initiative called “Nua-O,” symbolizing ‘New Odisha’ and heralding a transformative era for youth empowerment across the state. This innovative program is currently being rolled out statewide to ensure that the young population is not only fully enabled, motivated and engaged but also empowered to realize their full potential.
The Odisha Cabinet approved 16 major proposals of different departments. The 74th session of the Cabinet Meeting was held in the 3rd Floor Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik,
After the meeting, Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain, Minister Sudam Marandi, and Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena briefed newsmen that a total of 16 agenda items related to 13 different departments have been approved in the Cabinet.
Principal Secretary of PR & DW & Excise Sushil Kumar Lohani, Principal Secretary of Agriculture Department Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of School & Mass Education Department Aswathi S. and Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Higher Education Department Arabinda Agrawal were also present.
