CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: The Rs 3.5 Crore worth Cricket Indoor Hall of MGM School of Sports, run by MGM Minerals Ltd Group , was on Wednesday inaugurated at Gurudihatia in Cuttack by Bharat Arun, Former International Cricketer & Former Bowling Coach, Team India, in the august presence of Venkatapathy Raju, Former International Cricketer, Former International Cricketer Debashish Mohanty , R Sridhar, Former Fielding Coach, Team India, MGM Minerals Ltd Chairman and Odisha Cricket Association senior Vice President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty , Sanjay Behera, Secretary, Odisha Cricket Association.
Other officer office bearers & members of OCA and MGM School of Sports were also present on this occasion.
MGM Minerals Ltd Group Chairman Pankaj Lochan Mohanty said that the otal cost of the Indoor Hall Project is Rs. 3.5 Crores while this facility will be one of its kind in Eastern India.
The playing surface of the Indoor Hall is 120’X80’ with a height of 25’ in the Center. The Six Lane Net Practice Box has been built with imported artificial Turf with four lanes for pacers and two lane for spinners.
It may be noted here that MGM School of Sports has established the Centre of Excellence for Cricket with technical support of ‘Coaching Beyond’ , a premier institute in Cricket Excellence founded by Ravi Shastri and his former Team India Coach Members Bharat Arun and R Sridhar.
The Cricket Academy has also incorporated a Rehabilitation Centre for injury prevention and cure, which will be operated by experienced Physiotherapists. Along with this facility, a store section, parent sitting lounge, cafeteria and TT Playing Court are also made available on the ground floor. On the First Floor, a Motivation Hall, Video analysis Room. Coach Room and Administration Offices have been set up.with all these State Of The Art Facilities and Set-Ups in place.
