BHUBANESWAR: On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, a Seminar on Organ Donation of Rotary District 3262 was organized by Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Metro in the Institute of Life Science Auditorium on the 13th of August 2024.
Emphasizing the importance of Organ donation for the good of humanity, many reputed Doctors and eminent activists from the field, gave a comprehensive account of all the aspects of Organ donation during the seminar.
Rotarian Yagnasis Mohapatra, District Governor, inspired all the Rotary Members and the audience to donate organs / bodies and create awareness in society about Organ Donation.
All the members of Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Metro and their spouses, pledged to donate their organs and signed the Pledge Forms.
Eminent Activist Rtn Bikramaditya Nayak, Dr Pravas Acharya, Dr Jayant Das, Dr Soubhagya Das, Dr Umakant Satpathy, Rtn Rajesh Mittal (New Delhi) and others, shared their valuable inputs and also narrated experiences of donors and donees, to alleviate and apprehensions people may have.
Rtn Sanjukta Nayak (President of Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Metro), Rtn Nalini Sarma, Rtn Dr B. Ravindran, Rtn Dr Latha Ravindran, Rtn Dr Gopal Nayak, Rtn Adv Surya N. Patnaik, Rtn Saswati Patnaik, Rtn Mihir Patnaik, Rtn Captain Navin C. Sarma were in the organizing team and ensured very smooth conduct of the seminar.
Approximately 210 Rotarians, Inner Wheel Members along with the public at large participated in the Seminar.
