BHUBANESWAR: It seems, opposition to 5T Secretary VK Pandian heavily affecting BJD leaders. After former Kendrapara MP Baijayant Jay Panda, former Ministers Dama Rout and Pradeep Panigrahy , its now turn for media baron turned MLA Khandapada , Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, who is all set to shown the door by BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for anti-party activities.
Soumya Patnaik, who owns Odisha’s No-1 Odia daily, the Sambad, a TV Channel named Kanaka TV, has been opposing 5T Secretary VK Pandian’s visit to various districts.
Soumya Patnaik, was first criticised by Party’s former MLA from Khandapada , Anubhav Patnaik for his remarks against 5T Secretary while in last 2 days, 2 Ministers including Pratap Keshari Deb and Atanu Sabhyasachi Nayak and former Minister Arun Sahoo, have also raised questions about the Sambad Editor’s credibility and as well as his political madness.
Ministers Deb, Nayak and former Minister Sahoo have termed the Khandapada MLA as blackmailer and vested interest people.
‘If he has to write, we have no problem, but he should write as an Independent journalist,” Minister Deb. “Even though, he is a BJD MLA but he is regularly targeting Government and its policy , which violates Party’s principles and discipline,” Minister Deb said adding CMO is reaching to people not any individual officer. “It’s very unfair and unfortunate and unwise and such attitude is like blackmailing,’ Minister Deb added.
Earlier, both Arun Sahoo and Atanu Nayak along with Anubhav Patnaik had targeted Soumya Patnaik for his editorial column. With one after another BJD leaders started targeting Soumya, its time seems, running out for Khandapagada MLA.
