BHUBANESWAR/PURI: The chariots of the three deities—Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra— arrived at the Saradhabali near their destination Sri Gundicha temple this evening, as the Rath Yatra ended peacefully.
Earlier, Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were among those on Friday witnessed the World famous Rath Yatra of Shree Lord Jagannath.
Governor Prof Lal , Chief Minister Patnaik and Union Minister pulled the Chariots on Grand Road along with tens of thousands of devotees those who throng to this pilgrimage city.
Chief Minister Patnaik, who just returned from a week long foreign visit , was seen in happy mood on Grand Road and pulled the Chariots. “ମହାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥଙ୍କ ରଥ ଟାଣିବା ମୋ ପାଇଁ ପରମ ସୌଭାଗ୍ୟ। ମହାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ କରନ୍ତୁ। ଜୟ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ,” CM Patnaik tweeted.
Odisha Governor Prof Lal and Chief Minister Patnaik had a darshan of Lord Jagannath and siblings on the chariots during the Rath Yatra in Puri as it is being held in the presence of devotees after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
