BHUBANESWAR: On Tuesday, a short while ago, Sri Ranjit Kumar Sadangi, Section Officer, O/o. Block Education Officer(BEO), Papdahandi in Nabrangpur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe of Rs.10,000/- at BEO office, Papdahandi from a Complainant ( Retired School Headmaster) in order to process the pension papers of the complt which was pending with Sri Sadangi since retirement of complt in the year 2011.The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered and seized from the possession of Sri Ranjit Kumar Sadangi, Section Officer.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Sadangi from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No.26 Dt. 16.12.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Sadangi, SectionOfficer. Detailed report follows.
