BHUBANESWAR:The Rajarani Sangeet Mahotsav is not just a musical event, but it is like a beautiful bridge between our rich culture, art and history, said Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan while inaugurating the event organized at the historic ‘Rajarani Mandir’ courtyard in the temple-like city of Bhubaneswar on Friday.
Shri Pradhan said that the organization of this music festival is commendable to bring the architectural style of the Rajarani Temple to the masses and to make its heritage accessible to tourists. As per the National Education Policy, the Central Government is emphasizing on mainstreaming Indian arts and languages in the education system. This will further enrich the unique identity of Odissi music. Odissi music also has a unique identity. The performance of eminent vocalists of the country, including Odisha, on this stage strengthens the vision of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ‘Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat’.
The event was attended by Union Minister, State Higher Education Minister Shri Suryavanshi Suraj and Ekamra Bhubaneswar MLA Shri Babu Singh. On this occasion, Shri Pradhan felicitated various talented singers and artists. He congratulated all the talented artists for their high-quality performances and expressed the hope that such an event would help in attracting tourists to visit Odisha.
