BHUBANESWAR/GUWAHATI: With celebrations going across the Country, for the landslide victory of NDA’s Droupadi Murmu in the historic 15th Presidential polls, BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda on Thursday joined Assam Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sharma in Guwahati rally to mark the occasion.
“Took part in a rally in Assam along with Assam CM Himant Biswa Sharma Ji to celebrate the victory of Droupadi Murmu Ji in the race to the Raisina Hills. The mood was electrifying and we could see how ecstatic the common man was about the NDA’s pick for the top post,” the BJP National VP Panda said.
“Took part in a rally along with BJP National VC Shri @PandaJay ji to celebrate the grand victory of NDA’s Presidential candidate Hon’ble Smt Droupadi Murmu ji. Her victory reflects Adarniya PM Shri @narendramodi ji-led NDA Govt’s commitment for tribal rights & naari Shakti,” the Chief Minister Sharma said in a tweet.
Smt Droupadi Murmu polled 104 votes compared to NDA’s original strength of 79 in the 126 member Assam Assembly. 2 absent .
Both Chief Minister Sharma and BJP National VP Panda extended their heartfelt gratitude to the people of Assam for reposing their faith in the NDA’s Presidential candidate and wholeheartedly joining this historic moment.
