BHUBANESWAR: Union Railways, IT and Communication Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw who was in Odisha, to lay the foundation stone for renovation of Bhubaneswar Railway Station, on Thursday, said, the high-speed 5G internet service in Odisha will be launched before January 26, 2023.
The Centre has provided Odisha with a total of Rs 5,600 crore for telecom services, he said while refuting charges that the State has been neglected on telecom sector.
The Union Minister said that Odisha will avail the 5G service in the first phase. The project will be completed before January 26.
The Ministry of Railways has allocated Rs 308 crore for transforming Bhubaneswar Railway Station into World Class railway station.
Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahllad Joshi, Bhubaneswar MP Lok Aparajita Sarangi were among those present on this occasion.
