BHUBANESWAR: A team comprising Ishika Agrawal, Shivam and Jayant Kumar have won a quiz competition held at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here to mark the World Health Day.
The quiz, conceptualized by the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM) and organised nationally, was held in two phases on either side of the World Health Day observed on April 7.
Altogther 14 teams comprising three members each, all from IMS and SUM Hospital, participated in the event. The elimination round was held on April 3 after which four teams qualified for the final, Dr. Bikash Chandra Nayak, Associate Professor in the department of Community Medicine, said.
Dr. Nayak, who donned the role of quiz master, conducted the final on April 10 which was attended by around 30 faculty members and 250 medical students. The Medical Superintendent, Prof. (Dr.) Pusparaj Samantasinhar and Head of Department of Community Medicine, Prof. (Dr.) Sumitra Pattanaik inaugurated the event.
