BHUBANESWAR: SK Upadhyay ,DGP , FS,HG and CD has said, Odisha Fire Service Department will start soon PCR type pre-positioning of Quick response unit vehicles ( 207 types) in Odisha cities to attend inaccessible/ narrow approach roads like unit 1,2,4 etc of bbsr, chhatra bazar, Cuttack etc promptly .
Bigger vehicles face problems due to constricted access .Initially one unit will be deployed during evening hours (6-9:30pm).It is part of public outreaching to provide effective public service under mo sarkar and 5T mandate. It is there in Mumbai, But not in Our state.
“We will be putting 5 units exclusively for Kalpana and Secretariat FSs in Bhubaneswar. Similarly 5 units at Cuttack city,” DG Upadhyay added.
