CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: Purighat P.S case No. 67 dtd 26.02.2025 U/s 306 BNS. Complaint.:-Sukumar Boital(49) S/o Nimai Boital of CDA Sec-7Plot No F/277 PS-Markata Nagar Dist-Cuttack I.O.:-SI Subhendu Pradhan, Purighat P.S, Cuttack UPD.
Brief History of the case: In continuation with investigation of the above noted case, it was ascertained that accused Satyanarayan Sahoo while working in the shop of the complainant Sukumar Boital, committed theft gold ornaments weighing more than 1kg. During investigation basing on the CCTV Footage of the shop and other evidences accused Satyanarayan Sahoo was arrested on 10.03.2025 and gold ornaments weighing 561.6gm was recovered and seized from accused Satyanarayan Sahoo.
He was forwarded to the court on 10.03.2025. While the accused Satyanarayan was in custody, it was ascertained that he had given some ornaments to his brother=-in-law Manoj Ku Sahoo of Balichandrapur but he was found absconding. On 07.04.2025 accused Manoj Ku.
Sahoo was arrested and being interrogated he confessed to have received some gold ornaments from his brother-in-law and he had prepared new ornaments from the gold received from Satyanarayan Sahoo. During search gold ornaments weighing 287.8gm was recovered and seized from Manoj Ku. Sahoo. The following stolen ornaments from the possession of accused. The accused was arrested and forwarded to the court on 08.04.2025.
