BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Government constituted a 22-member committee to examine the matter of providing medical education in Odia language in the state.
Prof Dr Manash Ranjan Sahoo, Vice Chancellor , OUHS, Bhubaneswar will head the panel , which will have 20 other members. The Committee will submit its reports within 15 days.
‘In view of the mandate to provide medical education in Odia Language in the State, a Committee as detailed is hereby constituted to examine the matter, identify the essential course books for MBBS education required to be translated into Odia language, and workout timeliness and budget requirement for the undertaking the task.,” Odisha Heath and Family Welfare Department said on Thursday.
