BHUBANESWAR: Senior police officials on Sunday initiated a probe into an incident that sent shock wave since morning.
The reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained. Police have reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. More details awaited.
Sources said, tension prevailed for some time after Ashok Pradhan, ASI of Baranga police station, was found hanging inside his house at Padasahi village near Nandankanan under mysterious circumstances.
The matter came to light after Pradhan did not respond to the phone calls which alerted the officer’s house owner and neighbours this morning after they immediately informed the police.
