KENDRAPARA: Till Sunday afternoon, Odisha’s costal pockets of Kendrapara, reported 348 positive cases of which, an impressive figure of 293 have been cured, leaving only 53 active cases,

In a tweet on Sunday, Kendrapara Collector said a total cases 348 reported of which recovered 293 and active 53

“Please follow social distancing and wear masks. Situation is well under control in kendrapara but it will remain so only when people follow the rules. Best wishes,” tweeted Collector Samartha Verma.

“A total of 46,500 migrants from other states have come to Kendrapara till now since May. The Blocks and Sarpanches have done an outstanding job in keeping them like their family in quarantine Centers, and arranging for their food, sleep, water, and other amenities. Proud of them,” he added.

Sources said, the young IAS officer has been working overtime to reach out all Blocks of the district and ensuring, COVID-19 outbreak to remain in control.

Few days back, an Octogenarian Couple from State’s costal pocket of Kendrapara have jointly beaten the dreaded disease and returned home.

“Surendra Pati, aged 85 years and suffering from cancer, and his wife Smt Sabitri pati, aged 78, both have beaten Corona and have been discharged from COVID care, in kendrapara. Our best wishes to them. They inspire many to beat the disease,” Kendrapara Collector had  tweeted.
