NEW DELHI: The President Ram Nath Kovind has greeted fellow citizens on Eid-uz-Zuha.In his message the President has said, “On the occasion of Eid-uz-Zuha, I extend my greetings to all the fellow citizens, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters.
The festival of Eid-uz-Zuha is a symbol of sacrifice and service to the humanity. This festival inspires us to follow the path of self-sacrifice shown by Hazrat Ibrahim.On this occasion, let us resolve to rededicate ourselves to the service of mankind and work for the prosperity and development of the nation”.
The Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu has greeted the people on Id-ul-Zuha.”I extend my warm greetings to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of ‘Id-ul-Zuha’.Celebrated with traditional fervor and gaiety, Id-ul-Zuha epitomises the spirit of sacrifice and devotion to God. It is an occasion to ‘share & care’ and show compassion towards the needy and poor.I hope the festival will strengthen the spirit of unity and brotherhood in society by bringing people closer to one another. May the noble ideals associated with Id-ul-Zuha enrich our lives with peace and harmony, and bring prosperity to our country. “
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has greeted the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said; “Eid Mubarak! Greetings on Eid-ul-Adha. May this festival inspire us to work towards furthering the spirit of collective well-being and prosperity for the good of humankind.”
