NEW DELHI: The President Droupadi Murmu had condoled the death of Padma Shri Kamala Pujari, who passed away on Saturday at Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha.
‘Sad to learn about the passing away of eminent agriculturist Smt Kamala Pujari. She was honoured with Padma Shri for her inspiring initiative of preserving endangered and rare seeds of paddy and other crops. She promoted organic farming among many farmers, especially women farmers. Her contribution to organic farming and environment conservation will be remembered. My deep condolences to her family and friends,’ President said in a X post.
