Pratap Deb dedicates Children’s Park in Memory of Raja Saheb late Sarat Deb in Kendrapara’s Rajkanika

BHUBANESWAR/RAJKANIKA: Former Minister, Opposition Leader and Lok Sabha MP, and the most tallest figure of Aul-Rajkanika’s geopolitics, Raja Saheb , late Sarat Deb on Wednesday remembered on his 33rd death anniversary.  

Raja Saheb’s younger son and Aul’s sitting MLA and former Minister Pratap Keshari Deb dedicated a Children’s Park at Baruna Gram Panchayat under Rajkanika block and it was named after the late Raja Saheb Sarat Children’s Park. MLA Deb also inaugurated a Mission Shakti building and several other welfare projects. MLA Deb also unveiled statue of late Raja Saheb.

Preceded by late Biju Patnaik in Lok Sabha, Raja Saheb Sarat Deb while representing Kendrapara in 1985, died on March 24, 1988, exactly 33 years back. After his demise, Rabi Ray had succeeded him in Lok Sabha from this Parliamentary seat. He presented Aul Assembly seat 4th times and was served a Minister and later Opposition Leader before becoming Kendrapara MP.
