BHUBANESWAR/TALCHER: Union Coal and Mines and Parliamentary Affair Minister Pralhad Joshi along with his deputy Rao Saheb Patil on Thursday reviewed operations of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India. Joshi also visited Paradip Port to see coal handling and also discuss about NTPC Kaniha plant in Angul. Joshi is likely to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during his State visit.
Joshi visited Balram opencast project in Hingula Area in under Talcher coalfields and interacted with officials & motivated on-ground workers for increasing coal production and despatch. He also took stock of coal handling and transportation operations at Paradip Port.
Union Minister Joshi laid the foundation stone of Shramik Gaurav Jal Udyaan at Hingula Area in Talcher of Angul district, in the august presence of Hon. MoS Coal Rao Saheb Patil , Coal India CMD, Pramod Agarwal and CMD , MCL PK Sinha.
Both Union Ministers felicitated all-women blasting crew members of Balram open cast project in Hingula Area under Talcher coalfields.
He will hold meetings with officials of the Mines Department of state and centre on October 29 and will review the activities of MCL and NALCO in Bhubaneswar on the same day.
