PPT to fund for 100-Beded Covid-19 Hospital in Jagatsinghpur, VIMSAR ready for Testing

PARADIP/SAMBALPUR/BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Government, which is not missing any stone unturned in its fight against COVID-19 hospital, was on Saturday announced to come up with a 100-bedded hospital for COVID-19 in Jagatsinghpur district by April 13 with financial support from Paradip Port Trust, under the Ministry of Shipping.

An MoU has been signed  between Jagatsighpur district administration and Paradip Port Trust. The hospital will be functional at Biju Jatri Niwas in Paradip town will be financed by the PPT.

“#Odisha Govt has further strengthened its fight against #COVID19 with a tripartite MoU signed between @CollectorJspur, CDMO, Jagatsinghpur and @paradipport for setting up of a dedicated #COVID19 Healthcare Centre. The facility will be operational from 13 April #OdishaFightCorona,” Odisha CMO twitted.

Meanwhile, Veer Surendra Sai Institute Of Medical Science And Research , Burla in western district of Sambalpur will soon commence COVID-19 testing, informed H & FW Dept.

“VIMSAR, Burla is expected to start COVID-19 testing facility from April 15,” Sanjay Singh, Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department said.
