BHUBANESWAR: With as many as 5 cases registered at various police stations in Capital City of Bhubaneswar, police is all set to approach Bhubaneswar SDJM court for 5-days remand of Honeytrap Blackmailer Arachana Nag Chand. Police have arrested her under Sections 341, 328, 324, 354 – C, 370, 386/387/388, 389, 419/420, 465, 506, 120 – B of IPC and Section 66 -E, 67 of IT Act.
Sources said, Khandagiri Police is likely to take Arachana, now lodged at Jharpada Special Jail here, on 5-days remand for questioning in connection with her Honeytrap scandal , in which , she trapped many bigwigs including several senior leaders of ruling BJD and Opposition BJP and Congress, besides, leading business men and film makers.
Besides cases registered at Khadagiri Police Stations against her while few also registered at Nayapalli Police Station of the City, sources said adding total 5 cases so far.
Police is likely to quiz her at Jharpada Jail considering security reasons, sources said. A 3-members woman Police will interrogate her. Police have also prepared possible questionnaire, which is to be asked to Arachana.
Police may also quiz Arachana’s Husband, Jagabadhu Chand’s family members. A Special team will leave soon for interrogation.
Amid hue and cry, a Harley Davidson bike of Jagabandhu Chand also mysteriously shifted from his apartment.
Bharatiya Vikash Parishad on Friday moved the Orissa High Court seeking a probe by Enforcement Directorate (ED) into the unbelievable rise in assets owned by her and husband Jagabandhu Chand.
The has made Central Government, ED, Odisha Chief Secretary, Home Department, Odisha DGP, Khandagiri police station IIC and Nayapalli police station IIC parties in the case. It has also sought confiscation of her properties. Arachana and Jagabandhu possess asserts more than Rs 50 Crore.
