Police Stations get additional funds for citizen friendly service

BHUBANESWAR: Police Stations coming under Police Commissionrate system, urban, rural and tribal areas will get additional monthly funds to provide citizen friendly service to the visitors.

In bid to ensure ‘Mo Sarkar’ scheme reach to every corner of the State, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had sanctioned Rs Rs 17.5 crore for 587 police stations.

Sources said a monthly amount of Rs 40,000 will be provided to 44 police stations under the Twin City Police Commissionerate, Rs 30,000 to 142 police stations in urban areas and Rs 20,000 to 351 police stations in rural areas, a release of the Chief Minister’s office said.
