Police Rescued 4 months Baby Girl from illegal adoption in City

BHUBANESWAR:  Receiving information from concerned person, Childline and Khandagiri Police have jointly rescued a 4 months old girl baby from a couple from Khandagiri area. As per the statement, of the couple, they have bought this baby from her mother when she was only  21/22 days old.

They paid the mother Rs. 10000/- against the baby. They also have got the mother signed on a blank court paper. In addition, they have forged the government birth certificate of the baby.

It is illegal adoption, child selling and forging government document and punishable under JJ Act and IPC.

The baby has been produced before Addl CWC and is placed at Subhadra Mahatab Seva Sadan.

Sri Ghanashyam Bhoi, Team Member, Childline has lodged FIR at Khandagiri Police, Childline informed the matter to DCP.
