ROURKELA/BHUBANESWAR: Sundargarh Police have detained 3 suspects and looking for more accused in connection with the murder case of a Company Motilal Pal. It was suspected that he was beaten to death.
The Company authorities and the Lahunipara police, on getting the information, reached the spot and started investigation. The body was seized for autopsy and a case registered.
Police however did not reveal more but sources said, more people involved in this case. Locals said, tension have been going on over load and unloading at a mines site , for which such incident might have happened. Motilal Pal hails from Bareli of Uttar Pradesh and was working for the company as Logistics Manager at the mines.
Lal was found dead at the company’s guesthouse in Tensa-Barsuan under the Lahunipara police limits of Sundargarh district on Monday. Motilal had retired from the company but was reappointed as Logistics Manager at the Barsuan mines. He was staying at the guesthouse alone since several months.
On Sunday evening, Motilal had come back from work as usual and slept after having his dinner. On Monday morning, the guesthouse waiter came to his room to serve tea. He knocked at the door and found no response for a while. Suspecting foul play, he opened the door only to find Motilal lying in a pool of blood, sources added.
