PNG Ministry holds Seva Work at Joranda Mela in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

BHUBANESWAR/DHENKANAL:Magha Mela has been organized in a grand way at Joranda, Dhenkanal. Joranda Mela is mainly celebrated by a large number of people. Thousands of monks from different corners of India are gathered at Joranda.

The five-day Mela every year draws lakhs of devotees from far flung areas across the State of Odisha. At the biggest event of the Mahima sect, devotees from Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and other parts of the country would congregate to pay obeisance at the temple. This year the sacred Mela has been kick started on 6th Feb’2020 and will be continuing till 10th Feb’2020.

This year, Oil Industries have taken various steps to ensure cleanliness drive Swachha Bharat Aabhiyan. Oil Industries came forward by providing around 30000 sq. ft. temporary resting sheds with fans, lights, mattresses, pillows, bed sheets, mobile charging facilities, 120 nos. of temporary toilets.

Medical assistance like doctors, nurses, medicines, free first aids and ambulances are facilitated. Drinking water facility,  four numbers standby DG set generators and LED lighting system, etc are also provided. Considering fire security point of view, fire extinguishers are arranged at the control room. Oil Industries also deployed security and cleaning personals for the maintenance of the toilets during the mela.

The genesis of this Abhiyan under “Swachh Bharat” lay in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to people about keeping clean our surroundings so as to keep ourselves healthy thus contributing towards Cleaner and Greener Environment. The promotion of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan through this Joranda Magha Mela is aimed at instilling socio-environmental consciousness among citizens towards the larger aim of cleanliness.

The Facilities provide by Oil Industries at Joranda Magha Mela has been inaugurated by Baba Nityananda and Baba Raghu in the presence of Rudra Narayan Pany Ex-MP Dhenkanal and Debi Prasad Satapathy, GM(HR-CSR) and Debasish Palit , State Head(RS) , BPCL, Sanjay Sharma , State Head (LPG) BPCL, Abhaynkar Das, DGM(RS), HPCL, Bani Prasanna Mohanty GM (RS) , IOCL and other officials from Oil Industries IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and GAIL.
