BHUBANESWAR: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has thanked the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, through an ex-post, for discussing the popularity of Koraput coffee in his 127th Mann Ki Baat program.
In this regard, Prime Minister Modi said in the Mann Ki Baat program, “Koraput coffee is very delicious, it is the pride of Odisha.” Koraput coffee cultivation has changed the lives of our farmer brothers and sisters and has given a new identity to Odisha. This is a true tribute to the hard work of our tribal farmers and the prosperous agriculture of Odisha. This recognition is very inspiring for our farmers. This encouragement of the Honorable Prime Minister towards local products is a powerful step towards a vocal and self-reliant Odisha and a self-reliant India.
Shri Pradhan also mentioned his visit to Koraput last July and his interaction with the officials and farmers engaged in the cultivation and visited the coffee gardens there. He further said that the demand for Koraput coffee is increasing in the global market and now it has become a profitable crop. We should all make collective efforts to increase the production of this excellent coffee to create a unique identity of ‘Brand Koraput’ in the world.
Apart from this, Shri Pradhan has called upon the Prime Minister to join the Run for Unity organized on October 31 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Apart from this, he also mentioned in the X about the composition of Vande Mataram, which was launched by the Prime Minister.
