BALASORE/BHUBANESWAR:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely visit to Odisha on Saturday. First, he will visit the site of the accident in Balasore and then he will visit the hospital in Cuttack.

“PM Narendra Modi is leaving for Odisha where he will review the situation in the wake of the train mishap,” PMO said in a tweet.

PM Modi will visit the accident site, where Chennai-bound Coromandel Express collided with Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, causing death of 238 people and injuring more than 700.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to rush to Balasore. At least 3 Ministers of Tamil Nadu left for Odisha’s Balsore district where a collision between two trains left at least 238 passengers dead on Friday evening.

Tamil Nadu Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu Transport Minister SS Sivasankar, and Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi reached the Chennai airport to travel to visit Odisha to meet train accident victims.
