KENDRAPARA/BHUBANESWAR:  The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sharma are expected to campaign for BJP National Vice President and Party’s MP Candidate for Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat in Odisha, Baijayant Jay Panda.

BJP has already announced all its 21 Lok Sabha candidates in Odisha.  Odisha is facing twin polls of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections and voting will be conducted in 4 phases on May 13 , 20, 25 and June 1 and counting will be on June 4.

Informing this at a Party meet held at Mahanga under the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat, where Party’s MLA Candidate, Sumant Parida and others attended, BJP National VP Jay Panda said, PM Modi , HM Shah and 2 Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath and Himant Biswa Sharma will address a massive gathering of over 5 lakhs.

Jay Panda has been travelling to all 7 MLA seats under Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat and reviewing poll preparations. Panda addressed a party meeting at Mahanga and urged all to vote for BJP to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 3rd term in Parliament and Party’s target of crossing 400 seats in 2024.

Meanwhile, Leading TV Channel ABP News and C-Voter has predicted that BJP will get a vote share of 41 % and the Saffron Party would win around 13 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha of the total 21 seats as against 8 seats in the State, it had won in 2019. Massive Modi wave helping BJP to raise its vote share, it seems.

In 2019, BJD had won 12 seats while 8 were bagged by BJP and Congress had secured only Koraput Parliamentary seat.

The ABP News and C-Voter predicted 36% vote share for BJD and the Naveen Patnaik led Regional outfit, would win around 7 Lok Sabha seats against 12 it had won in 2019.

If the prediction come true, BJD is going to lose around 5 seats and may not be able to retains it’s 2019 figure of 12 and in total it will lose 14 seats in 2014.

BJD was earlier targeting to win around 17 to 18 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha while all poll surveys till date, putting BJP ahead of BJD in Odisha in terms of Parliamentary seats.

The poll survey says , Congress led INDIA would get around 17% vote share and maximum can win a 1 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha while others will gets a vote share of 6%.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Leading English TV Channel NewsX had said, BJP will get 14 seats and 7 MP seats will go to BJD of the total 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.

Congress which had won the lone Koraput Lok Sabha seat in 2019, will not open its account in Odisha in 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the TV channel said.
