BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while welcoming the Rs 500 Crore package announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi after making an aerial survey of Odisha’s super cyclone Amphan hit areas, said that the Modi Government has always stood with the people of the State.
“Gratitude to Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi for providing ₹500 crore assistance to Odisha for combating #CycloneAmphan. This will help the state govt in providing immediate relief to the affected people and further strengthen relief and rehabilitation in the cyclone-hit regions.
GOI will aid Odisha government in making requisite arrangements post-Amphan after a detailed survey and draw up a plan to come out of this crisis,” Union Minister Pradhan said.
“ModiGovt has always stood with the people of Odisha in the past and will stand shoulder to shoulder with Odisha, especially during difficult times.Our Odia people have been dauntless in the face of danger and possess an undaunted resolve to tide over crisis.PM Narendra Modi ji’s government is committed to address all aspects related to the rehabilitation and reconstruction to ensure Odisha emerges stronger,” Pradhan added.
Earlier on Friday afternoon, PM Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey of the affected districts in Odisha to assess the impact of Cyclone Amphan in the state. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi were among those accompanied the PM.
