BHUBANESWAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday highlighted Odia Scientist Jyotirmayi Mohanty’s success story in 99th Episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
“Sister Jyotirmayi Mohanty, Scientist of Bhabha Atomic Research Center has also notched another achievement for the country. Jyotirmoyee has received a special award from IUPAC in the field of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering,’ PM Modi said.
Odia scientist Mrs. Jyotirmayi Mohanty, has been nominated to receive the respectable International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry Award as the first woman of the country. The achievement she has earned in the field of chemistry is a matter of pride for all odias.
The woman scientist is a daughter-in-law of Titira village under Balikuda block in Jagatsinghpur district. She is the wife of scientist Rashmiranjan Mohanty and the daughter of Dr Baikunthanath Patra from Cuttack.
