NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: A High Level Committee, headed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been constituted to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in a befitting manner. A gazette notification to this effect was issued today.
Naveen Patnaik Chief Minister, Odisha, Mamata Banerjee Chief Minister, West Bengal, Neiphui Rio Chief Minister, Nagaland, N. Biren Singh Chief Minister, Manipur, Zoramthanga Chief Minister, Mizoram, Biplab Kumar Deb Chief Minister, Tripura, Dr. Conrad Kongkal Sangma Chief Minister, Meghalaya and Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee Former Chief Minister, West Bengal were among those Chief Ministers and ex-Chief Ministers inducted in the 84 members panel headed by Prime Minister Modi.
Amit Shah Minister of Home Affairs, Rajnath Singh Minister of Defence, Nirmala Sitharaman Minister of Finance , Narendra Singh Tomar Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, FoodProcessing Industries, Smriti Irani Minister of Woman and Child Development and Textiles , Prakash Javadekar Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Jitendra Singh MoS(IC) DONER, Prime Minister’s Office, Prahlad Singh Patel Minister of State(IC)- Culture & Tourism, Babul Supriyo Minister of State- Environment, Forest andClimate Change and Debasree Chaudhuri Minister of State – Woman and Child Development , were among those Union Ministers in the panel.
The High Level Committee will decide on the activities for a one year long commemoration, beginning 23rdJanuary 2021. The Members of the Committee include distinguished citizens, historians, authors, experts, family members of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, as well as eminent persons associated with Azad Hind Fauj (INA). The Committee will lend guidance to the commemoration activities in Delhi, Kolkata and other places associated with Netaji and Azad Hind Fauj, both in India as well as overseas.
