NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated documentary film maker, Kartiki Gonsalves, film producer, Guneet Monga and the entire team of ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ for winning Oscar for Best Documentary Short Film.
In response to the tweet by the Academy, the Prime Minister tweeted;”Congratulations to @EarthSpectrum, @guneetm and the entire team of ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ for this honour. Their work wonderfully highlights the importance of sustainable development and living in harmony with nature. #Oscars “
The Prime Minister, Modi has also congratulated Indian Musical Composer, M.M Keeravani, Lyricist, Chandrabose and entire team for winning Oscar award for ‘Naatu Naatu’ song from RRR movie for Best Original Song. Shri Modi said that this is exceptional and the popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global.
In response to the tweet by the Academy, the Prime Minister tweeted “Exceptional! The popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also extended greetings for winning Oscar Awards.
‘Congratulate the composer, lyricist, music director & entire team of #RRRMovie on being awarded Best Original Song for #NaatuNaatu at #OSCAR -first song from an Indian film to win #AcademyAwards. Indeed a proud moment and it will inspire generations of Indian film makers,” CM Patnaik said in a tweet.
