BHUBANESWAR: On the occasion of “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” Sh Satish Chandra Budakoti, IG Ftr (Spl Ops) BSF, Odisha along with Officers and Jawans of BSF carried out plantation drive.
On Thursday, Sh S C Budakoti, IG, Sh B B Gusain, DIG, Sh Dhirendra Kumar, DIG (Ops) and other officers planted various saplings at Bn HQ, Khurda. Along with BSF a large number of children of Mt. Carmel School, Khurda participated in the plantation drive.
Sh Budakoti, IG interacted with school children and encouraged them to not only excel in studies but also participate in various social and cultural activities. In the era of global warming, contribution in maintaining and making of green cover by such plantation drive certainly bring the change.
Whenever you got the chance, try to return back the mother nature whatever you could. He emphasized about the initiatives taken by government of India in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav like Plantation drive, Har Ghar Tirangaa, Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan etc. School children were praised and thanked BSF for giving opportunity to participate in the drive.
