BHUBANESWAR/JUNAGARH: Long wait is over as Union Railways Minister Piyush Goel kept the request of Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
On Saturday, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan will flag off of the individual running of Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Express from East Coast Railway headquarters in Bhubaneswar through video conferencing.
With the new train service, passengers from Junagarh side will not have to wait for the link at Rayagada Railway Station. Besides, more passengers can travel as more coaches can be added.
A long-standing demand of the people of Kalahandi District for the individual train from Junagarh Road to the State capital will be fulfilled, said ECoR in an official release.
Earlier, Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Express was running jointly with Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express between Bhubaneswar and Rayagada from both the directions and was being separated at Rayagada towards Jagadalpur and Junagarh Road, respectively.
