RAJKANIKA/KENDRAPARA: In a noble gesture, students of 2000 Matriculation batch of Panchayat Nodal High School, the erstwhile, Panchayat High School , Bharigada under Rajkanika block of Kendrapara in Odisha, have extended a financial help of Rs 10,700 to sweets shop vendor late Bharta Sahoo of Jharkata Village, who passed away on May 18 last.
Late Sahoo was a very popular sweets maker(locally known Chhena Gaja) in Rajkanika area and had a small shop at Bharigada Bazar, before he shifted his small business to his village Jharkata.
Late Sahoo has 6 daughters including 5 married and 1 left while his wife left them 15 years back putting all responsibilities with the sweets maker, till he took his last breath, he managed to get his 5 daughters married and he has no son.
PHSB Students led by Arun Kumar Rout, Sekhar Jena, Sushil Kumar Sahoo and others met late Sahoo’s youngest daughter and handed over the financial help. Students also urged the local administration to extend Government support to the bereaved family members.
