Pankaj Lochan Mohanty’s Visionary Approach Steers OCA to implement Vision 2024

BHUBANESWAR: Cricket Infrastructure in Odisha will soon see revolutionary changes in view of the vision 2024 of Odisha Cricket Association. With OCA President and noted Industrialist, Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, is taking the lead,   Team OCA has been working on Vision Plan to build a robust ecosystem of cricket in the State. In next 3 to 4 years, Odisha Cricket will witness sea changes under the able leadership of OCA president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, sources said.

The vision 2024 aims at providing turf wickets across the State which will provide equal and uniform opportunities, to enhance the performance of aspiring cricketers of Odisha. In this regard, the Association is planning to develop the ground along with 2 turf wickets for practice, 1 cement/synthetic wicket for the same.

Odisha Cricket Association is taking this initiative to help develop Turf-Wickets across the State which will eventually nurture and mould the future upcoming cricketing generations of our State.  In addition to this, the OCA is also planning to supply cricketing equipment, training equipment, pitch essential equipment and ground equipment.

The OCA is setting up Cricket Academies in all 30 districts of the state, out of which foundation stone had been laid for 15 affiliated centers in the first phase.  These Academies will be developed under OCA’s District Infrastructure Development Program and Cricket Academies in accordance with their much ambitious Vision-2024 project.

Odisha Cricket Association is the governing body of the Cricket activities in the Odisha state of India and the Odisha cricket team. It was formed in the year of 1949 and its headquarters is in Cuttack Barabati Stadium Complex. It is affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
