TALCHER/KANIHA:Central PSU NTPC Ltd proposes to acquire land for construction of new dyke in village Badahira of Kaniha Tahsil .A total land measuring area of 458.34 acres is being proposed for land acquisition of new ash dyke of 3000 MW NTPC Talcher Kaniha Power Station.
The required land will be acquired under New Land Acquisition Act i.e Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
The palli sabha was organised by District Administration in association with Social Impact Assessment Agency. The main objective of the conducting Gram Sabha was to obtain the consent of the affected villagers of Badahira village.
During the meeting Social Impact Assessment Agency read out the Social Impact Assessment. After hearing the report, the villagers expressed their willingness and gave their consent for acquisition of land by NTPC Kaniha in accordance of New Land Acquisition Act ,2013.
Paresh Chandra Nayak, Sub–Collector in his address thanked everyone for participation and assured that according to the act, all benefits will be extended to the land oustees.
On the occasion BDO,Kaniha,Tahsildar ,Kaniha ,SPLAO(NTPC),Angul were among present in the meeting. Also Senior NTPC officials L D Sahoo ,AGM(Ash Handling), K S Sarma ,AGM(HR), S S Pradhan ,AGM(EMG), P K Sahu,DGM(HR), Jakir Khan,DGM(HR)& Rajendra Behera,Sr. Mgr(HR) were also present.
