BHUBANESWAR: On Thursday a short while ago, Pabitra Kumar Kandi, ARI, Chandanpur RI office under Puri Tahasil, Dist-Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 51,000/_(Rupees Fifty One Thousand) from a Complainant for submission of enquiry report and facilitate conversion of agricultural land to homestead (Gharbari) land for issuance of RoR (Land Patta).
The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Sri Kandi, ARI and seized.Following the successful trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sri Kandi, ARI from DA angle.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No 12/2024 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Kandi, ARI.Detailed report follows.
