NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was on Sunday said over 5.18 lakh children and 1.44 lakh pregnant women immunized under Mission Indradhanush in Odisha. “I have requested Govt of Odisha to join the Ayushman Bharat scheme which can benefit my odia brothers and sisters a lot,” Pradhan said. “Intensified efforts under Mission Indradhanush has ensured more than 3.15 crore children and 80 lakh pregnant women vaccinated in 528 districts across the country,” Pradhan wrote in a social media post in Facebook.

“More than 800 variety of generic medicines are available at 5000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras, including 198 Kendras in Odisha which has benefitted lakhs of poor people. ‪The price of medical devices like stents have been capped to make them accessible. Modi Government’s focus has been on establishing state-of-the-art healthcare institutions. In the last 6 years, our govt. has begun work on more than 150 new medical colleges across the country, including 6 in Odisha.Odisha remains eternally grateful to former PM Vajpayee ji’s for AIIMS Bhubaneswar,” Pradhan said.

“Furthering his vision, Modi Government is working on mission-mode to build an AIIMS in each state. #Covid19 has further intensified #ModiGovt’s efforts to improve healthcare facilities. From one #Covid19 testing lab at the beginning of the novelcoronavirus disease to 10 lakhs tests per day in more than 1500 labs across the country, we are ramping up healthcare infrastructure.

PM  Modi has rallied the nation together to make India’s fight against #Covid19 people-centric. In this endeavour yoga as a global movement as well as traditional systems of #Ayurveda is helping in prevention and post-recovery management of #Covid19,” Pradhan wrote.

Simultaneously while many countries are propagating “vaccine nationalism”, India under the leadership of PM Modi ji is following the philosophy of “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam”, which is at the core in helping countries  near and far fight the pandemic with medicines and kits.

Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji it has been a constant endeavour of our govt. to ensure affordable and quality healthcare to every citizen. #ModiGovt has continued with its tradition of increased budgetary allocations year-on-year to make India #Ayushman.

#ModiGovt’s priority for healthcare is evident from the fact that it has allocated highest budgetary allocations for the sector in this  decade. Allocation of ₹69,000 crore towards healthcare in 2020-21 is almost a three-fold increase from ₹22,300 crores allocated in 2010-11.

“Taking a slew of historic measures, including launching the world’s largest govt. funded healthcare scheme, PM Narendra Modi ji has taken concrete steps to provide affordable healthcare to all and also build resilient healthcare systems.Focusing on a multi-sectoral approach involving preventive health, affordable healthcare and supply side interventions #ModiGovt is transforming the healthcare landscape. The #PMBJP has reduced the cost of healthcare by providing quality generic medicines at affordable prices,” he added.
