CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: With Bhubaneswar SJDM Court continued to reject the bail plea of honeytrap blackmailer Archana Nag Chand, the Orissa High Court on Thursday denied hearing the anticipatory bail plea of hubby , Jagabandhu Chand, who has been arrested in a sextortion case along with his wife .
The High Court asked Jagabandhu to withdraw his petition which was filed for anticipatory bail.The anticipatory bail plea scheduled for hearing today could not be taken up as he is lodged in the jail, said sources.On the other hand, the court issued a direction to Jagabandhu to file a regular bail petition.
Jagabandhu Chand was lodged in the Jharpada special jail in connection with his wife Archana Nag’s alleged sextortion and honey trapping case.
Arachana Nag Chand and her husband , Jagabandhu Chand were booked under Sections 341, 328, 324, 354 – C, 370, 386/387/388, 389, 419/420, 465, 506, 120 – B of IPC and Section 66 -E, 67 of IT Act.
