BHUBANESWAR:An orientation program for the first batch of new B. Pharma students of 2025-26 was organized on Monday at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Campus-2, Phulankhara, run by the Education and Research (SOR).
Shri Debendra Nath Das, Director and Executive Officer of RND Laboratories Private Limited, graced the occasion as the chief guest and said that pharmacy is a great profession. Stating that a pharmacist works in the field of health care as well as the welfare of the society, Shri Das said that students are showing more interest in pharmacy courses as there is a demand for professional education like pharmacy these days.
Pharmacists worked like warriors during Covid. He advised that hard work, punctuality, ethics and values should be instilled in students.
Similarly, SOA Vice Chancellor Professor Pradeep Kumar Nanda joined as a special guest and congratulated the pharmacy students who chose to study at SOA, which is known as the 15th best university in the country, and wished them a bright future.
On this occasion, Dean of IMS & Sam Hospital-2 Professor (Dr.) Arashit Swain, Advisor of SPS-1 and SPS-2 Professor (Dr.) Sudam Charan C, Dean of Student Welfare Professor Jyoti Ranjan Das were present and delivered their speeches, congratulating the students on the new year.
In this program, Dean of Pharmacy-2, Professor Durga Madhav Kar delivered the welcome speech, while Professor (Dr.) Laxmidhar Maharana moderated the program and provided detailed information about the Pharmacy course and SoA. Assistant Professor, SPS-2, Monalisa Raut proposed the vote of thanks.
