BERHAMPUR:Berhampur Town PS Case No. 87 dt- 26.02.2026 U/s-296/274/275 BNS/Sec-21/22/24 of the Cigarettes and other Tobacco Product (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade Commerce Production Supply and Distribution Act.

_*Brief of the case*_:
On 25.02.2026 reliable information was received regarding illegal Hookan bar running in Church Road, Berhampur. As per information raid was conducted on Hookah Bar running in a restaurant in the name as ADDA HOTEL. During raid found some people were found smoking Hookah inside the restaurant. Owner failed to produce any valid license or authority and police seized 05 Hookah pots, 3 filters, one pocket of Coil, 06 Chilam, 7 Pipes, 05 Hookah pipes, 5 springs, 8 Hookah Masala. In this regard B. Town PS case No 81 dt 25.02.2026 has been registered against accd B. Ameer Kumar Patra . He was served notice and warned not to repeat it.
However on 26.02.2026 a raid was conducted at ADDA HOTEL and police seized 1) 04 Hookah Pots, 2) 10 Hookah Filters, 4) 03 Hookah Pipes, 5) 03 Pockets of Hookah Masala at the Hookah Bar from accd B. Ameer Kumar Patra.
Berhampur Town PS Case No. 87 dt- 26.02.2026 was registered against accused B. Ameer Kumar Patra and he was arrested on 27.02.2026 and forwarded to Honble court today in this case.
