NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP’s third times MP from Kota in Rajasthan, Om Birla was on Wednesday elected as Speaker of Lok Sabha for the second times.
Birla was greeted by Pro –Tem Speaker Bhartuhari Mahatab, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of Oppositions, Rahul Ganghi.
PM Modi said that Birla’s work as a parliamentarian should be an inspiration for the new Lok Sabha members. “I congratulate you on behalf of the entire House and look forward to your guidance for the next five years. Your sweet smile keeps the entire House happy,” he said
