CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: An absconded murder case warrantee has been arrested on 19.08.2021 after 7 years of his absconding under Pipili Police Station at Puri district. It relates to the sensational Baburam Panda murder case, Odisha DGP office said on Thursday quoting old NBW execution cases under special drive of State Police.
Cuttack UPD Police has executed 2 NBWs in GR 1505/2001 & GR 432/1990 as per the directives of Hon’ble High Court. Those NBWs were executed by Daraghabazar PS and Cantonment PS respectively after 20 & 31 years of their absconding.
Buguda Police in Ganjam District has executed 7 NBWs on 08.08.2021 pending for more than 15 years in Buguda PS Case No.257/2006 & 218/2003.
Purusottampur PS under Ganjam district has executed 1 NBW in GR 76/2010 in a sensational murder case of 11 years back.
Atabira PS under Baragarh district has executed NBW on 25.08.2021 against a property offender who remained absconded for 16 years.
Bheden PS under Baragarh district has executed 1 NBW on 25.08.2021 against one murder case absconder who remained absconding for 11 years.
