BHUBANESWAR: Dr Krishan Kumar, a 2002 batch IAS officer , who is Odisha Works Secretary with Additional Charge as Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, CMD IDCO and Chairman PKDA , on Thursday received huge praise after the Haryana’s Rohtak born, able Mandarin, came in rescue of an accident victim.
Sources known to the development said, Dr Kumar, after reviewing Rath Construction and other activities in Puri, was returning back to Bhubaneswar while on his way, the IAS officer, saw an accident victim, identified as Ratnakar Pradhan of Sakhigopal lying with serious injuries near CIFA Square at Kauslyaganga Area on the outskirt of State Capital.
Immediately seeing this, Dr Kumar asked his driver to stop his car and rushed to the spot. Then the Works Secretary shifted the injured to Capital Hospital and personally supervised his treatment. Works Department officials, who were with Dr Kumar also coordinated, as result of which a precious life was saved. Dr Kumar’s good Samaritan came few days after 1998 batch IPS officer Amitabh Thakur had helped a Bihar based women while traveling in Train.
