BHUBANSWAR/CUTTACK: A two day Familiarisation Training Programme for IAS Officer Trainees of 2020batch and IFoS Officers of 2018 batch of Odisha Cadre was organized on Anti-Corruption Matters by Odisha Vigilance at State Vigilance Academy, in Bhubaneswar on May 9-10.
The training programme was inaugurated by Y.K. Jethwa,, Director Vigilance, Odisha. The Director Vigilance Odisha in his inaugural speech narrated about the functioning of Odisha Vigilance and advised them on strategies to deal with corruption and enhancing transparency in administration.
He hoped that this training will enhance their competence in preventive vigilance and preventing leakage in government expenditures. He also appreciated the role of the State Vigilance Academy as a unique State level anti corruption academic platform in the Country, in sharing knowledge on AntiCorruption matters through regular seminars, workshops, deliberations and training modules. The training programme included discussions on PC Act, Preventive Vigilance, Role of CVO, the Lokayukta System in Odisha, Departmental Action procedures and process of grant of sanctions in Vigilance cases
