BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Vigilance was on Thursday arrested Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Executive Engineer Jagannath Pattnaik for alleged possession of disproportionate assets (DA).
The BMC engineer Pattnaik will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar later in the day.
One more case vide OR case No 3 in Balipatna Forest Range under Khordha Wild Life Division of year 2025-26 under sec(9)(49)(51)of Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 was instituted against Pattnaik for illegal possession of antler horns.
Assets including 1 Multi storeyed building (4560 sqft) , 4 plots in Bhubaneswar, Farm House (1.57 acres), deposits Rs 80 lakhs, 413 gm gold, a Grand Vitara, Antler Horns, Country made Gun, etc. unearthed so far in DA search on Sri Jagannath Pattnaik, Executive Engineer, BMC, Bhubaneswar.
On Wednesday morning , on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets( DA) to the known sources of income by Sri Jagannath Pattnaik, Executive Engineer, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Bhubaneswar, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 6 DSsP, 10 Inspectors, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar at his following 4 places in Bhubaneswar and Gunupur( Rayagada).
